Fat Loss Challenge: Day 67 - He Quit, Right?

Well, my last entry was June 30th, and since then my life has been turned upside down with the birth of my second son Cooper.  Babies are challenging enough - but putting that on top of a jealous 2-year old and a dog who is more needy than all of them has made the past few weeks hectic.  Sounds like I'm building up my excuse bank, right?

Not exactly.  While my workout schedule has not been what I would've liked, I have been pretty strict with my nutrition program which has certainly paid off.  My scale weight was 222 this morning, and my bodyfat was 13.3% - which was down 0.6% from the last time I measured 3+ weeks ago.  So my body composition is now 29.53 pounds of fat ( a loss of 0.91 pounds since the last time) while my lean body mass is now 192.47 (an increase of 3.91 pounds from the last time!)

Not to harp on a point (but I will!) but if I had solely used scale weight as an indication of my progress, I would've appeared to gain 3 pounds, and I probably would've been angry.  Instead, my body composition changed dramatically - I added lean body mass with a less-than-desirable workout schedule and a reduced amount of sleep.  It also goes to show that nutrition is king when losing fat - I've been getting the right amount of protein, eating 6 meals a day, and plenty of good fats and fruits/veggies.  My goal is to get back to a sub-10% by the 90 day mark, so I'll have to step up my workouts a bit.
